(PRWEB) February 09, 2012
The Consumer Justice Foundation, a for-profit corporation whose staff is comprised of professional consumer advocates who provide free online resources to consumers regarding the potential risks and dangers faced by using certain prescription medications, hereby alerts the public of the filing of an Actos side effects lawsuit filed in California where the plaintiff in the lawsuit claims that he developed bladder cancer as a result of using this medication.
Specifically, this Actos side effects lawsuit was filed in the Southern District Court in California on January 17, 2012 and was assigned a case number of 3:2012cv00135. The plaintiff, Mr. John Durel, claims in the lawsuit that he was diagnosed with bladder cancer as a result of using Actos to treat symptoms associated with type 2 diabetes. The lawsuit was filed against the manufacturer of Actos, Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
The claim stated in this Actos side effects lawsuit alleges that Takeda Pharmaceuticals failed to warn the public of the dangers associated with using Actos to treat symptoms of type 2 diabetes, and that as a result of long-term use of this medication Mr. Durel was forced to spend time in the hospital for treatment of this form of cancer in 2011. Mr. Durel is seeking an unspecified amount of damages from Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
